Civic blue carries authority; Philippine gold marks anything official or time-sensitive. Gold never carries body text on a light surface — it earns its place as an edge, a rule, or a chip.

Colour

Civic blue 600 is the primary action colour at 7.9:1 on white. Gold 700 is the lightest gold safe for text on white, at 5.6:1.

Typography

Source Serif 4 for headings, Inter for everything else. Tracking is size-specific — tightened as text grows, near zero for body, slightly positive for fine print.

Heading 1 — display, tracking −0.021em

Heading 2 — section, tracking −0.014em

Heading 3 — subsection

Lead paragraph. 17px, line-height 1.65 — generous, because Filipino and English strings differ in length by up to a third and both have to breathe.

Body copy at 16px minimum, never smaller. Grade 9 reading level is the target; short sentences do more for comprehension than any typographic choice.

Fine print at 13px with slightly positive tracking, because small text needs letters further apart, not closer.

Buttons

Feedback lands on pointer-down, not on release. Minimum 44px touch target. Labels say what happens.

Large link button

Status banner

The signature component. Every page that makes a claim about today carries one.

Quick Answer

Sixty words or fewer, at the top of an explainer.

Quick answer

Electronic notarization is notarization where the document is a PDF instead of paper. A commissioned e-notary verifies who you are, watches you sign, and applies a QR-coded electronic seal. Same legal force as traditional notarization.

Verification chip

No state may read as an endorsement. The strongest label is a statement about a published government list, not our opinion.

On the official SC listNamed on the Supreme Court's published list of accredited providers.

Self-reportedThe provider says so itself, and it is NOT among the platforms the Supreme Court has accredited. Ask for the accreditation document before you pay.

Editorial note

How we made a judgement call.

We are not a provider. This is an independent educational website. We do not notarize documents, we are not an accredited Electronic Notarization Facility, and we are not affiliated with the Supreme Court or with any platform listed here. We cannot notarize, process or verify anything for you.

Not legal advice. General legal information only — not legal advice. For your specific case, consult a Philippine lawyer or notary public.

Step list

One action per step, with the mistake attached to the step where it happens.

  1. Turn the document into a PDF

PDF or PDF/A. A good scan of paper counts as an electronic document.

  2. Work out which act you need

Acknowledgment or jurat — they have different rules about signing.

Watch out: For a jurat, do not pre-sign. You must sign live in view of the e-notary.

  3. Create your own account

One account per person. Sharing a login means somebody was never verified.

Comparison table

One semantic table at every breakpoint. Below md, rows become cards and each cell grows its own label from data-label.

Accessibility commitments encoded here

  • Every interactive target is at least 44px tall.
  • Focus is a 3px ring at 2px offset, never removed.
  • Colour is never the only carrier of meaning — chips pair colour with an icon and a word.
  • prefers-reduced-motion, prefers-reduced-transparency and prefers-contrast all have real handling, not just a motion kill switch.
  • All content renders without JavaScript. Only the four tools, the theme toggle and the mobile menu need it.
